Who we are?

Unity Collective

Operating online from the United States and Guatemala, Unity Collective formed in response to a gap we saw as independent organizers who lacked the connections, the relationships, and the capital to make it on our own. So we banded together. We’re doing something new in a new way. We focus on decolonizing our attitudes towards animals, plants, and food systems.

The Cypher

The Cypher focuses on addressing gender equity, food justice, and environmental justice through a Trans* and Queer lens. Our overarching goal is the of celebrating the indomitable brilliance of Trans* and Queer Black femmes. This abundant space holds all Trans* & Queer Black, Indigenous and People of Color tight, but is rooted in the power of Black femmes. We address the needs of our communities by providing context for the ways in which justice for earth and other animals is bound up in justice for the most marginalized of us humans - this is a total liberation framework.
